BCA is an agency of the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of the United States. It was created to assist Bahá’í communities in developing and maintaining Bahá’í Centers.
BCA provides training and technical assistance to help Local Spiritual Assemblies lease, acquire, and manage Bahá’í centers.
Many Bahá’í communities experience challenges related to the building, acquiring or maintaining of a Center whether the communities already own a Center, are leasing one, or are still in the planning stages.
In response, the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’is of the United States incorporated the Bahá’í Center Assistance Corp. a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation in 2004. Feasibility studies and operational planning, which ultimately provided the formative foundation for BCA, were undertaken between 2000-2003 by committees appointed by the NSA.
BCA’s Board of Directors is appointed by the National Spiritual Assembly. The National Spiritual Assembly provides ongoing direction and guidance to BCA through its Office of the Treasurer.
